Bandi Chhor Divas — A Celebration of Freedom and Compassion
Bandi Chhor Divas holds a special place in Sikh history. It commemorates the release of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji from Gwalior Fort, along with 52 imprisoned kings.
Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji's commitment to securing the freedom of others teaches us a timeless lesson: true leadership is rooted in justice, selflessness, and standing up for those in need.
As we celebrate this meaningful occasion, we encourage our students to reflect on the values of seva (selfless service), equality, courage, and compassion that guide us in our everyday lives.
Diwali — The Festival of Lights
Diwali, widely known as the Festival of Lights, is celebrated by millions of families around the world. It symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil.
The beautiful glow of diyas, festive decorations, family gatherings, and the sharing of sweets remind us of the joy that comes from spreading happiness and strengthening our relationships.
At Guru Angad Dev School, we believe that every act of kindness, every helping hand, and every positive choice can bring light into someone's life.
